COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus that is originated from china in 31st December 2019. Many health experts believe that the new strain of coronavirus originated in bats. The first effected person from corona is in Wuhan, China. Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that can cause disease in both animals and humans.

The new coronavirus has spread rapidly in many parts of the world. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic.

How it spread:

COVID-19 spreads from person to person through close communities.

Spreads 1When person is affected by corona is breathe out or cough, and then they expel tiny droplets that contain the virus. These droplets can enter by mouth or nose of someone without the virus, causing an infection to occur.

The most common way of this corona illness spreading is through close contact with someone who is already affected.

Droplets containing the virus can also land on nearby surfaces or objects. Other people can take the virus by touching these surfaces or objects. Infection is likely if the person then touches nose, eyes or mouth.

Different Stages of COVID-19:

Stage1 (Imported Cases):

These are those who have travelled to virus-hit foreign countries and have come back to India.

Stage2 (Local Transmission):

These are those who have come in contact with patients who have a travel history.

Stage3 (Community Transmission):

Community transmission is when a patient not exposed to any infected person or one who has travelled to any of the affected countries tests positive. Large areas get affected when community transmission takes place.

Stage4 (Epidemic):

This is the last and the worst stage where the disease takes the shape of an epidemic with no clear endpoint like it did in china.
